Carlos Bustamante was elected to a four year term on the Santa Ana City Council in 2004. Councilman Bustamante currently serves on the board of directors for Western Medical Center Hospital and was appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to the California Council of Criminal Justice. In 2000 he commenced working for the County Executive Office, County of Orange, as a Human Resources Manager and since 2005 he has served as the Assistant Director of Planning |

and Development for the County of Orange. Prior to that, he worked as an investigator for law enforcement agencies for the State of California and for the County of Los Angeles. Born and raised in Santa Ana, Mr. Bustamante earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton in 1991 and a Master of Arts degree from Chapman University in Organizational Leadership in 2003.
