George L. Pla, an Orange County resident, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cordoba Corporation, a Los Angeles, California-based civil engineering and construction management firm he founded in 1983 which specializes in educational facilities, transportation systems, and water infrastructure. Mr. Pla served as a director of First American Bank, Rosemead, California, from 2000 until 2005, when First American Bank was acquired by another bank. |

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeles and a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the Board of Regents of Loyola-Marymount University and co-founder of the University of Southern California Mexican American Alumni Association.
